We are looking for a unicorn! Is that YOU?
Personal Trainer / Small Group Training Instructor
We are a small fitness business dedicated to helping folks find their strength through quality movement.
If you:
Love working with folks who are returning to fitness
Have an attention to detail
Like to learn about the human body and movement
Treat people with kindness and empathy
Want to learn how to modify movement to help folks at their current level of fitness
Enjoy working with older populations
Love working with the LGBTQIA+ community
Then you will love working with Square One Fitness!
This gym was started by a fitness chiropractor, to help patients learn how to transition from pain to rehab to strength. Square One Fitness handles the rehab and strength side of things!
Originally just open to patients, we are now expanding the classes to the general public.
Come grow with us!
We provide:
Tons of education and training, and access to resources including the CFSC, SFMA, and most importantly, DNS. Our classes are based on foundational fitness principles and the basic movement patterns of push / pull / hinge / squat / carry.
Programming. All classes are programmed by Doc Emily and are ready to go. That allows you time to focus on the part that matters most - making sure every participant is working at their full potential.
Small group classes. Class size is limited to 3-4 people. This allows you a chance to get to know each individual student and provide plenty of assistance and feedback.
Are you an introvert?
No worries! We are a clinic and gym full of friendly introverts. You don’t need to be on fire every minute to provide an engaging workout!
We do require that you are:
Dependable! We never want our clients to show up to a class without a trainer there to teach them.
A great communicator. If something is on your mind, we want to know about it!
Carry at least one nationally recognized personal training certification (or be in the process of earning one)
Carry personal training insurance
Are able to work morning / day / evening shifts as schedules grow
Someone with a spark for learning! We’ll be giving you lots of information on how to guide movement. Efficient movement requires a lot of nuance, something that we feel can be neglected by other gyms.
Part time:
2-10 hours per week to start
In the near future:
20-30 hour per week job
There is an opportunity for more hours beyond teaching. This would include assisting in the creation and filming of education modules, social media posting, creating an intake process based on functional movement assessments, etc.
Pay is $20-$60 depending on which classes you learn to teach.
Experience is not as important as a willingness and excitement to learn.
We will invest in folks who have a passion for learning and helping others.
We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
