Meet Biggie!
Your new best friend!
Biggie was rescued from the mean streets of Las Vegas, NM where he was literally fighting to stay alive.
Now that he’s safe, he is nothing but a big ball of love. He is incredibly friendly!
Biggie is an extremely outgoing and affectionate kitty with a big heart.
Biggie loves to spend time in your lap, to sleep curled up in your arms, to be picked up and kissed, and he loves to sleep all night snuggled right up next to you. He’s extremely interactive and social, and can get chatty at times.
If someone knocks on the door he’ll run to the door to greet them! He loves people, and has been instantly friendly with everyone he meets. However, he is very afraid of other kitties, due to his time “on the streets”.
The only thing Biggie struggles with is that he sometimes gets overstimulated. This can lead to nips (they started out hard and now are more in the “mouthing” category). Once you learn his body language it’s easy to know when he needs a little time out to downregulate. He settles down quickly.
Biggie also loves to play, and his favorite toy is a fishing pole. He’ll leap super high into the air to catch his prey. Ping pong balls and crinkle toys are his other favorites for play time.
His litterbox manners are impeccable, and he is really good about using his scratching post.
If you are looking for a lifelong friend and companion who will keep you entertained and showered with affection, then Biggie is your guy!
Biggie has FIV, which sounds scary but it isn’t! FIV stands for immunodeficiency virus. This means he is just a little immunocompromised. He can live a long, healthy, and happy life!
Biggie is getting his FeLV (feline leukemia) test on September 12th! FeLV is a bit more serious than FIV, and means that he would need to be the only kitty in the household, or could be with another FeLV positive kitty. We’ll know more soon! https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/feline-leukemia-virus-felv-signs-prevention-prognosis
So far we know that Biggies does well as a single kitty in a quiet household.
Biggie is afraid of other cats (most likely from his time on the streets) but I have a hunch that he might do well with a kitten.
Biggie has had all of his shots, and has been neutered.
Adoption would be through Felines and Friends in Santa Fe, but you can call me with any questions!
Biggie has been with me for two months now and is really blossoming. He is ready for his furever home!
